Frequently asked questions

Welcome to the Burjuva TradeHub Platform FAQ.
Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about using, securing, and managing your account and data.

TradeHub is a local-first trading bot platform that runs directly on your device.
You get the power and flexibility of a SaaS app — but with your data and trading logic kept securely on your own system.

No installation is required.
TradeHub comes as a single executable file — just download it, run it, and you’re ready to go.

TradeHub currently supports:

  • Windows 10 or higher
  • Linux (Ubuntu 20.04 or higher)

Other distributions or older systems may work, but are not officially supported.

At TradeHub, we believe in giving users as much freedom and customization as possible.
Rather than imposing strict limits, we aim to let you tailor your trading experience to your needs while keeping things simple and flexible.

We offer one flat pricing plan with no fees or commissions, so you always know exactly what you’re paying.

We know there are many competitors offering different combinations of price and features.
Our goal is to provide a balanced approach:

  • Maximum control over your strategies, data, and trading setup
  • Affordable, all-inclusive pricing with no hidden costs
  • Transparent policies so you know exactly what to expect

🌐 Why does the app run in the browser instead of a desktop app?

Section titled “🌐 Why does the app run in the browser instead of a desktop app?”

TradeHub runs as a locally hosted web app, meaning it serves its interface directly through your browser rather than relying on Electron or similar desktop frameworks.

This design choice offers several key advantages:

  • Lightweight — the entire app is currently under 100 MB.
  • No extra browser bundled — everyone already has a browser, while Electron ships a full Chromium engine with every app, greatly increasing size and memory usage.
  • Cross-platform — runs smoothly on both Windows and Linux without extra dependencies.
  • Server-capable — you can also run it on your own machine or VPS to test trading strategies 24/7.
  • Privacy-first — all your data, API credentials, and configurations stay entirely on your device.

Your data is fully encrypted on your device using your personal password.
This ensures that only you can access your data — not even our team can decrypt it.

If you lose or forget your password, we cannot recover your encrypted data.
You can still log in to your online account on our website to manage your subscription and billing, but your local data will remain locked.

This file contains essential cryptographic keys used to unlock your local database.
It must be kept together with your database file and must not be modified or deleted.

Yes, you can copy your database and the accompanying db.key.json file to another supported device.
As long as both files remain intact and you know your password, your data can be opened anywhere.

All payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe.
Your payment details are never stored or handled by TradeHub directly.

Yes. TradeHub offers a 30-day free trial period.
No payment information required during the trial period.
You can fully test the app on your device before deciding to subscribe.

Because TradeHub is a digital product, we do not offer refunds once a payment is made.
This policy is in place to prevent abuse of the software license.

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team.
Please note that this will remove your online account, but your local encrypted data will remain on your device unless you delete it manually.

TradeHub operates entirely under your control — all trading actions and API requests are made directly from your device to your connected exchange accounts.

You are solely responsible for how you use your exchange API credentials and for complying with each exchange’s rules and rate limits.

TradeHub has no control or authority over exchange-side restrictions, suspensions, or bans.
We strongly recommend reviewing your exchange’s API usage policies before enabling live trading or frequent data downloads.

Q: Why don’t you target non-programmers?

We do, we provide a visual editor based on Google Blockly, which is beginner-friendly and widely used.

Q: I don’t trust anyone with my exchange credentials.

All API keys are stored and used locally on your device — TradeHub never sees them.

Q: Do you have a lifetime license?

No — Because lifetime pricing is not sustainable, maintaining the app and updates requires ongoing support and development.

Q: Where are my local data and config files?

See the Installation & Setup guide; they are stored in your dataPath.

Q: What happens if the free trial expires without adding payment info?

Your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to use the app, but your local data remains on your device encrypted.

Q: What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe will retry the payment automatically. If it still fails after all attempts, your account will be deactivated and you will not be able to use the app, while your local data remains encrypted on your device.

Q: Why JavaScript as scripting language?

JavaScript is widely known, flexible, and lightweight, perfect for customizing trading strategies with easy learning curve and syntax.

Q: Can I modify or remove app files?

No. You should not modify, rename, or delete any files that come with the app.
Doing so may cause the application to malfunction or your data to become unreadable.
